Brief synopsis -
Again, without going into too much detail, Lara Croft (Angelina Jolie) is an orphaned adventurer ... she travels the world searching for ancient artefacts and facing perils for fun. This time out, she is searching for Pandora’s Box.

The film opens to a lavish Greek wedding being interrupted by the volcano of Santorini spontaneously erupting and triggering a series of earthquakes. This, in turn, forces the rise of an underwater ruin from the sea bed whereupon explosive underwater action ensues where Lara is involved in a desperate struggle for a sacred ancient spear guarded by Chen Lo’s (Simon Yam) henchmen which promises to give the location of Pandora’s box. She has embarked on a perilous mission to try and prevent evil Chinese crime syndicate leader Chen Lo from selling the artefact to super-villain Reece (Ciarán Hinds), who intended to use Pandora’s Box to deploy a fearful army of biological drones set to wreak havoc across the globe.

Again, Lara will be aided by long suffering Butler Hillary (Chris Barrie) and Technician Bryce Turing (Noah Taylor) and the movie is filmed in location at Santorini (Greece), UK, China, Hong Kong, Africa and Tanzania. More accurate information will be added when the film is released in July.

Review - by Paul Harris (male)
Thoughts/Opinions - Once again Angelina dons the skin-tight wardrobe and trademark twin pistols with aplomb. Perfectly cast in the role, and supported by fairly well chosen partners, the film is a successful combination of action, travel and stunt-taking. Still more mythology than required, and the plot more believable than the first outing, but somehow it lacks the sparkle of the previous film.
Blasted by the media again, but it holds fast as my third favourite Angelina movie.

Thoughts/Opinions - Angelina gives a stunning performance. Just how I imagined Croft should be, educated, witty yet reserved, passionate and opinionated. Critics slated the set and plot which I agree may have let the film down.
