| Thoughts/Opinions - | Rather a patchy film by design. Three siblings and their parents each suffering their personal tragedies finally amalgamating at the end - rather too much emotion, heartache, and disjointedness to cope with. Worth watching for certain comical attempts, and a number of memorable lines, but not a classic by a long way despite the A-list cast. | |

| Thoughts/Opinions - | Playing By Heart does not receive nearly half the recognition it deserves. It is a perfectly cast romantic comedy which strikes just the right balance between humour and the emotional storyline, which is fantastically kept alive by the flawless performances by every character. This is one of my favourite Angelina roles, her portrayal of Joan is so convincing, it is impossible to take your eyes off her. All the character’s roles compliment each other so well, which makes this film totally believable. A great ending with a somewhat almost unexpected twist. | |
